Welcome my friends!

I am so excited that you’re here, this is the beginning of a great adventure…

Right now you are probably wondering, who the heck is the brain behind the blonde? And to be honest, I ask myself the same question most days of the week! To put it simply, my name is Charlotte, and I am just a girl who is trying to find some direction in a hectic, bustling life.

I grew up in rural New Zealand, and deep in my heart I am still a country bumpkin who has a soft spot for my mum’s home-cooked meals. I love adventure and new experiences (particularly if they involve food), I’m what my friends call a health nut but I have a weakness for sweet indulgences, I love learning and solving problems but my heart is that of a true creative…and given the chance, I would live my life surrounded by the people I love, relaxing on a warm beach (you never know, one day it might just happen!).

So you might be wondering, what is the purpose of me sharing this with you?

Well, let me tell you a story…

Once upon a time, there was a little girl with blonde hair and blue eyes. She had big dreams that one day she was going to become a famous writer, and her stories would touch the lives of people all over the world. She dreamed of changing the world…but her big bully brother (SPOILER ALERT: he’s not really much of a bully anymore) laughed at her idealistic vision, and poked fun at it until it all came crumbling down!

The little girl was crushed. She let her dreams fade away until they were nothing but dusty memories, and instead went to school, which lead to university, which lead to post-graduate studies, which lead to a shiny piece of paper and eventually to a successful job.

But deep down she knew something was missing…and that’s when a miracle landed in her lap and gave her back the ability to dream! It gave her back a passion, helped her to realise that it’s okay to step outside of the mould and that dreams are stronger than the people who try to tear them down. And that miracle began her on a journey of self-discovery and growth…

So by now you’ve probably worked out that the little girl was me.

I’ve been through many ups and downs, and I have had my share of ugly moments. I have dreamed and failed, conceded to the people who doubted me…but I’m here now.

I am committed to following my passion, and letting that evolve me into the best version of myself. I don’t know exactly who that is yet, and sometimes I feel like I’m being scattered and pulled in a hundred different directions, but I know the journey will be worth it, and I hope that my experiences will be able to help you along the way.

Life can be so hectic, and it can be hard to sort through the clutter to find what really matters most. So stick with me, and together we will strip back all the chaos and find the calm beneath.
